What did Jesus say about the Holy Ghost?
"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the
life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. If ye had known me, ye should
have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen
him." - John 14:6-7 KJV
"Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and
it sufficeth us." - John 14:8 KJV
"Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with
you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the
Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? Believest thou not that I
am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak
not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works." -
John 14:9-10 KJV
"Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in
me: or else believe me for the very works' sake. Verily, verily, I say unto
you, he that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater
works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father." - John
14:11-12 KJV
Jesus revealed to His disciples that He is the Father robed
in human flesh. He then revealed to them, “yet a little while, and the world
seeth me no more;” Jesus would suffer and die for our sins, would be buried,
but on the third day He would rise again. “Because I live, ye shall live also.”
Because Jesus paid the price of our sins, we can repent of
our sins, be baptized in His name for the remission of our sins, and receive
the gift of His Holy Ghost. (Acts 2:38). By His Spirit, the Holy Ghost, we “shall
live also.” (John 1:4, Romans 6:23, Romans 8:10). “Comforter” and “Spirit of
truth” are other words for the Holy Ghost.
At that day, the Day of Pentecost, the Spirit of Jesus - the
Holy Ghost - would be in them.
"And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and
began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance." -
Acts 2:4 KJV
"If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray
the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you
for ever; even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it
seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you,
and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to
you." - John 14:15-18 KJV
"Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more;
but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. At that day ye shall know
that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you." - John 14:19-20 KJV
