The Godhead

                                                                 

"Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost." - Matthew 1:18 KJV

If someone thought God was "three persons," the above verse would be confusing.

Because God is a Spirit and is one, this is not confusing. Father - Holy Ghost - Holy Spirit - God - Spirit of Christ - Spirit of God – Spirit – Spirit of Truth - Word - Comforter - LORD - Saviour - all these and more describe the Creator of the universe, whose name is JESUS.

A "person" is a "human,” “individual," “bodily presence," "bodily appearance." (Merriam-Webster).

Because the definition of "Godhead" is deity i.e. the state of being God (Greek "theotes") (Thayer’s Greek Lexicon), then truly there is no "person" in the Godhead. The only "person" is the MAN Jesus, and the Godhead dwelt IN Him.

"For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily." - Colossians 2:9 KJV
