A New Year

A new year. An opportunity to make positive changes in our life. To make clear our focus on what is truly important. To focus on that which is eternal, letting go preoccupation with that which is temporary.

Our life is like a vapor – time passes so quickly. There is great satisfaction knowing that we have spent our time well.

Our spiritual life is eternal. Knowing Jesus, His wisdom, His ways, is of infinite value.

We must keep our eyes open so that we do not get caught up in negativity. To be full of His Spirit – full of His love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control, shines His light to the world.

Bringing the gospel of Jesus to the world – the knowledge of His gift of repentance with forgiveness of our sins through His name Jesus in baptism, and the ultimate gift of His Spirit – is truly eternal and the greatest blessing we can share with anyone.

(John 4:31-36, James 4:13-17, Philippians 3:8, Galatians 5:19-26, Matthew 5:14-16, Acts 26:18, Acts 11:18, Luke 24:47, John 20:31, Acts 10:43 KJV/NLT, Acts 2:38-39).
