It appears that the arm of the Lord is a metaphor of God’s
strength, salvation, and power to redeem.
"Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am the
LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I
will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out
arm, and with great judgments:" - Exodus 6:6 KJV
"Fear and dread shall fall upon them; by the greatness
of thine arm they shall be as still as a stone; till thy people pass over, O
LORD, till the people pass over, which thou hast purchased." - Exodus
15:16 KJV
"And the LORD brought us forth out of Egypt with a
mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terribleness, and
with signs, and with wonders:" - Deuteronomy 26:8 KJV
"But the LORD, who brought you up out of the land of
Egypt with great power and a stretched out arm, him shall ye fear, and him
shall ye worship, and to him shall ye do sacrifice." - 2 Kings 17:36 KJV
"Thou hast with thine arm redeemed thy people, the sons
of Jacob and Joseph. Selah." - Psalm 77:15 KJV
"And hast brought forth thy people Israel out of the
land of Egypt with signs, and with wonders, and with a strong hand, and with a
stretched out arm, and with great terror;" - Jeremiah 32:21 KJV
"For they got not the land in possession by their own
sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm,
and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them."
- Psalm 44:3 KJV
