Our battle is WON when our “enemy” - those that are being
used by the devil to do evil – falls under conviction, is converted, and is
saved to live for Jesus (Acts 2:38), and THEY JOIN the army of the Lord against
the forces of evil.
"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but
against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of
this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." - Ephesians 6:12
KJV
There are demonic forces in this world that are using people
as their puppets – people that are motivated to do evil by their fleshly lusts –
power, carnality, money. We as the church have power over these forces through
the name of Jesus and by His Spirit. We are the body of Christ; Jesus
accomplishes His work through us as His vessel. (Ephesians 6:10-17, Acts 26:18)
"Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the
Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all
saints;" - Ephesians 6:18 KJV
We pray against these forces, we pray for overpowering
conviction to fall on those doing unnameable atrocities, we pray for these
souls to repent, that they are baptized in Jesus name for the remission of
their sins, and that they receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Our God is full
of mercy, and His will is that none should perish, but that ALL come to
repentance. We are also to pray for all saints, especially those that are
waging spiritual warfare by prayer and by reaching the lost with the gospel. (2Corinthians
4:3-6, 2Timothy 2:25-26, 2Peter 3:9, Acts 9:10-18). As Paul requested,
"And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that
I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which
I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to
speak." - Ephesians 6:19-20 KJV
Hell cannot stand against the Church. By the gospel – the blood,
the Spirit, and the name of Jesus - hell cannot hold souls captive – souls are released.
(1Corinthians 6:9-11, Romans 6:17-22).
On Christ the Rock, we the church stands. (1Corinthians 10:4).
