The Father manifested Himself in flesh to bring peace
between us and Himself.
Isaiah 9:6 KJV - For unto us a child is born, unto us a son
is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be
called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The
Prince of Peace.
Our sin separates us from God. Because He loves us so much, He
humbled Himself and took on the form of man, allowing Himself to be crucified
in order to make this peace between us.
Philippians 2:7-8 KJV - But made himself of no reputation,
and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient
unto death, even the death of the cross.
God made peace, reconciling us back to Himself, by paying
the price of death for our sins.
2 Corinthians 5:19 KJV - To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling
the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath
committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
What is this word of reconciliation? The Gospel.
Jesus died for our sins, He was buried, and on the third day
He rose again.
Acts 2:38 KJV - Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be
baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of
sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Acts 2:39 KJV - For the promise is unto you, and to your
children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall
call.
