God is a Spirit. He is the Spirit of truth. He is our Father. His name is Jesus.
The Father created a sinless human body for Himself so that
He could pay the price of death for our sins and reconcile us back to Himself.
(2Cor.5:19, 21).
Jesus revealed to His chosen disciples that He was the
Father in a human body. (John 14:7-11). They knew Him as a man that had flesh
and blood like themselves, grew tired and hungry, and prayed. They also knew
Him as the Mighty God that caused the winds to cease, multiplied the fish and
the loaves, raised the dead, healed the sick, forgave sins, cast out devils,
and answered prayers.
Jesus told His disciples it was necessary for Him to suffer,
be killed, and be raised again the third day. The Father’s only begotten flesh
would die. By His death, He would make peace between Himself and man so that
man could once again be filled with His Spirit. (Matt.16:21, Isaiah 9:6-7,
Col.1:19-23).
He had dwelt with them; soon He would dwell in them.
(2Cor.6:16, 1Cor.6:19-20).
"And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you
another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; even the Spirit of
truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth
him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not
leave you comfortless: I will come to you." - John 14:16-18
After Jesus ascended in bodily form up to heaven, Apostle
Peter on the Day of Pentecost preached the gospel message of Jesus’ death,
burial, and resurrection. When the people heard this, they were pricked in
their hearts and asked what they should do.
"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized
every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye
shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." - Acts 2:38
The Spirit of truth that had been with them, Jesus Christ,
the Father revealed in flesh, would now be in them.
"For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and
to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call." -
Acts 2:39
