God blesses those that are not living for Him. He is not blessing them because He approves of their sin, He is blessing them because God is love. (1 John 4:16).

"That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain [in the Bible, rain is a blessing] on the just and on the unjust." - Matthew 5:45 KJV

"But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil." - Luke 6:35 KJV

What is the natural response of a person when God does this?

The response a person has to someone showing them love and mercy, is to love them in return.

When we truly love someone, we want to do things that please them. When we truly love Jesus, we want to do things that please Him.

Jesus tells us in His word how we can please Him.

"If ye love me, keep my commandments." - John 14:15 KJV

"The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree. ... And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him." - Acts 5:30, 32 KJV

When they heard this gospel on the Day of Pentecost, they were pricked in their heart, and asked Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Men and brethren, what shall we do?”

"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call." - Acts 2:38-39 KJV

"And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.

“Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

“And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers." - Acts 2:40-42 KJV

"For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous." - 1 John 5:3 KJV
