Elijah soaked the sacrifice with water. When Elijah prayed, the fire of the LORD fell and the sacrifice was consumed.

When Solomon dedicated the temple of God by prayer, fire came down from heaven consuming the sacrifices, and the glory of the LORD filled the house.

When the disciples were praying in the upper room, a sound from heaven filled the house. Tongues like as fire sat on each of them and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost. (As living sacrifices, they had all been immersed in water by baptism in Jesus name. When the fire of the LORD fell, they were consumed by the glory of the LORD as the Holy Ghost filled their house.)

When we repent and are baptized in water in the name of Jesus, God accepts our sacrifice by baptizing us with the Holy Ghost and fire. What is our sacrifice? By repentance, we are a living sacrifice to God. By baptism in Jesus name, we have claimed for our life HIS sacrifice of shedding His holy blood for our sins.

Scripture:

1 Kings 18:38 Then the fire of the LORD fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.

2 Chronicles 7:1 Now when Solomon had made an end of praying, the fire came down from heaven, and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the LORD filled the house.

Acts 2:2-4 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.  And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.  And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

Ephesians 5:2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.

Matthew 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:
