Sons of God

When we have turned to Jesus with our whole heart, soul, and mind, have turned away from a sinful lifestyle, have been water baptized in the name of Jesus for the remission of sins and have received the gift of the Holy Ghost with the sign of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance, then we have been born again and have become sons of God. (Acts 2:4).

"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God." - John 1:12-13 KJV

While Jesus was BORN the Son of God, we BECOME a son of God when we believe on His name and are BORN AGAIN.

"Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. ... Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." - John 3:3, 5 KJV

We are born of water when we are baptized in water in the name of Jesus. We are born of the Spirit when we are baptized with the Holy Ghost (the Spirit).

"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." - Acts 2:38 KJV

"For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God." - Romans 8:14 KJV

"Do all things without murmurings and disputings: that ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;" - Philippians 2:14-15 KJV (Ephesians 5:8, John 17:16, 1 John 3:1, 1 John 4:4, 1 John 5:4, Romans 8:19).

"Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is." - 1 John 3:2 KJV
