Jesus taught His disciples to pray, “Thy will be done.”

"And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:" - 1 John 5:14 KJV

"And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth." - Luke 11:2 KJV

When Jesus dwelt among His creation in flesh and blood like us, He lived what He taught, as our example.

"He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done." - Matthew 26:42 KJV

God knows what He is doing. He has a plan and a purpose.

We learn that it is God’s will for us to pray for His will, no matter what.

We see things from our limited perspective, from where we are in our point and time. We may not understand His will, but Jesus knows what He is doing. We need to trust Him.

We find a peace when we resist our emotions and submit to asking for God’s will to be done. He knows the future. He knows the thoughts and intents of every person. He knows all things and what is best, for us and for His kingdom.

As Jesus said for us to pray, “Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.” Revival.
