The power of the Highest – God - overshadowed Mary so that
she conceived in her womb and brought forth a son. She called his name JESUS,
as the angel Gabriel said to her. (Luke 1:26-35).
The angel of the Lord spoke also to Joseph saying, “And she
shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save
his people from their sins.” (Matthew 1:21). The name ‘JESUS’ means, ‘LORD
Savior’ / ‘LORD Salvation.’
Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there
is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Titus 2:11 - 14 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation
hath appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly
lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and
our Saviour Jesus Christ; who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from
all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
John 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth
came by Jesus Christ.
Acts 2:38 - 39 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be
baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of
sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto
you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the
Lord our God shall call.
