"Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given
him a name which is above every name: that at the name of Jesus every knee
should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the
earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the
glory of God the Father." - Philippians 2:9-11
Our heavenly Father did this by taking on the form of man,
in order to shed the required blood to make atonement for our souls, to make us
right with Him.
"And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and
we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of
grace and truth." - John 1:14
"To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world
unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto
us the word of reconciliation." - 2 Corinthians 5:19
"For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have
given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is
the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul." - Leviticus 17:11
"And almost all things are by the law purged with
blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission." - Hebrews 9:22
"For it pleased the Father that in him should all
fulness dwell; and, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to
reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth,
or things in heaven. And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your
mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled in the body of his flesh
through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his
sight:" - Colossians 1:19-22
