God’s name “Jesus” is "LORD/Salvation."

"In that day you will say: "I will praise you, LORD. Although you were angry with me, your anger has turned away and you have comforted me. Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The LORD, the LORD himself, is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation."" - Isaiah 12:1-2 NIV

"And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins." - Matthew 1:21 KJV

"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." - Acts 4:12 KJV

This is the name God placed on His body that He made for the purpose of redeeming all humanity.

"Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:" - 1 Peter 1:18-19

This body of God is called the Son of God – the flesh of God. God is a Spirit. For the purpose of redemption, He needed to make Himself a body of flesh and blood.

"Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: in whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:

“For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: and he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

“And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;" - Colossians 1:12-19

Jesus is the eternal Father, the Creator of the universe that came to dwell among His creation in the form of man. Jesus brought His kingdom to earth by His death, burial, and resurrection. We, as humanity, become part of God’s body when we turn our back on sin, take on His name Jesus in water baptism, and are filled with His Spirit.

"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." - Acts 2:38

Just as God’s body is the image of the invisible God, when we become sons of God by our new birth, removing the veil of our carnal fleshly nature by repentance and burying that old nature by baptism in Jesus name, we are changed into God’s image by His Spirit working in us, shining His light to the world.

"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord." - 2 Corinthians 3:18 KJV

Another translation:

"So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord--who is the Spirit--makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image." - 2 Corinthians 3:18 NLT
