We hear the good news of the gospel.

We put sin to death in our life.
"And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh

shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify [put to death] the deeds of
the body [sinful nature], ye shall live." - Romans 8:13 KJV
"But now being made free from sin, and become servants
to God, ye have your fruit [you do things that lead] unto holiness, and the end
everlasting life." - Romans 6:22 KJV
"But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin,
but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered
