Part 4 The Kingdom
Now that we have been reconciled to God and have entered His
kingdom by being born of water and of the Spirit (John 3:5, Acts 2:38), He has
committed to us the word of reconciliation.
"To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world
unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto
us the word of reconciliation." - 2 Corinthians 5:19
The word of reconciliation is the preaching of the word of
the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Jesus was made flesh to dwell among us and die for
our sins, He was buried, but on the third day He rose again. We obey His Gospel
by dying to our old life by repentance, buried with Him in water baptism, and
receiving His Spirit to walk in a new life in Christ. [Acts 15:7, Ephesians
1:13, Colossians 1:5, Hebrews 4:2, 1 Peter 1:25, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, John
1:14, Acts 2:38].
"Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God
did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made
the righteousness of God in him." - 2 Corinthians 5:20-21 KJV
God made peace with man by the blood of His cross. He has
paid the price of our sin, so we can come back into His favor and have communion
with Him by His Spirit.
"And, having made peace through the blood of his cross,
by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be
things in earth, or things in heaven." - Colossians 1:20 KJV
"And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in
your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled In the body of his flesh
through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his
sight: If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away
from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to
every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;"
- Colossians 1:21-23 KJV
"Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and
hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption
through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: who is the image of the
invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:" - Colossians 1:13-15 KJV
