God foretold through the prophet Joel, that He was going to
pour His Spirit out on all flesh.
"And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God,
I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters
shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall
dream dreams: and on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those
days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:" - Acts 2:17-18 KJV
There is one God. He is Spirit. His Spirit is called my
Spirit, the Holy Spirit, the Holy Ghost, the Spirit, the Spirit of truth, the
Spirit of God, the Spirit of Christ, the Spirit of your Father, the Spirit of
the Lord, the Spirit of Jesus Christ, the Spirit of His Son.
Here are a few verses that are speaking of the Spirit of Jesus,
using some of the other descriptions above.
"But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so
be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of
Christ, he is none of his." - Romans 8:9 KJV
"And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for
my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles. But when they deliver
you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you
in that same hour what ye shall speak. For it is not ye that speak, but the
Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you." - Matthew 10:18-20 KJV
"But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take
no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but
whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye
that speak, but the Holy Ghost." - Mark 13:11 KJV
