Prayer reaches to others where we cannot go, accomplishing what we cannot do, because it is Jesus that does the work. At the same time, prayer draws us closer to Him.

"Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;" - Ephesians 6:18 KJV [Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion.
