The birth of Christ came with the announcement of the angel
of the Lord, the Shekinah glory, and the multitude of the heavenly host praising
God and giving Him glory for the peace He would bring as the Savior of all mankind.
When the angel of the Lord announced the birth of Christ to
the shepherds, God graced the occasion with His Shekinah glory shining round
about them.
"And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the
glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid." -
Luke 2:9 KJV
"And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I
bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you
is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And
this shall be a sign unto you; ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling
clothes, lying in a manger." - Luke 2:10-12 KJV
After this, a multitude of the heavenly host praised God and
gave Him glory for the peace He was bringing to those whom His favor would
rest. (Colossians 1:20, 2 Corinthians 5:19, Acts 2:38, Acts 2:4, Acts 22:16).
"And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of
the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on
earth peace, good will toward men." - Luke 2:13-14 KJV
