Prayer and Revival
Jesus has given us the privilege to be part of His kingdom
by our obedience to the gospel.
The gospel is that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and
on the third day he rose again.
Apostle Peter preached how we become part of God’s kingdom
by obedience to the gospel:
"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized
every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye
shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
... And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine
and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers." - Acts 2:38, 42
The battles we fight for the kingdom of God are not against
people but against the rulers of the darkness of this world. Our weapon is
prayer.
"But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are
lost: in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which
believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image
of God, should shine unto them." - 2 Corinthians 4:3-4
We can pray and by the power of God and by the authority of
His name Jesus, principalities and powers and the rulers of the darkness of
this world are dismantled and rendered powerless. Minds that have been blinded
by the devil are opened to receive the gospel, and there is revival.
