We enter into the new covenant (testament) with Jesus by repentance and water baptism in Jesus name. The baptism of Jesus is a blood covenant. Jesus shed His blood for our sins, and we apply His blood to our sins by baptism in His name, JESUS. (Leviticus 17:11).

"For this is my blood of the new testament [covenant], which is shed for many for the remission of sins." - Matthew 26:28 KJV

"And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission." - Hebrews 9:22 KJV

It is by the blood of Jesus that there is remission of sins. The blood of Jesus is carried by the name of Jesus. Remission of sins is through the name of Jesus because His name carries His blood. By JESUS NAME BAPTISM, the blood of Jesus is applied to our life.
