Jesus is God - He That Seeth Me Seeth Him That Sent Me
John 12:44 KJV - Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on
me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me.
God – our Heavenly Father - created Himself a body without
sin, born of a woman, to save humanity. When we believe on Jesus, we believe
that He is God. We believe that Jesus was able to die in our place for our
sins. We believe that through His death we are set free from the fear of
judgment and hell, the devil no longer having any power over us.
Hebrews 2:14-15 KJV - Forasmuch then as the children are
partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same;
that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is,
the devil; and deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime
subject to bondage.
John 12:45 KJV - And he that seeth me seeth him that sent
me.
When we look at Jesus, we are looking at the image of God.
God is a spirit. He made Himself visible when He made Himself a body (“Son of
God”) to dwell in.
Colossians 2:9 KJV - For in him dwelleth all the fulness of
the Godhead bodily.
John 12:46 KJV - I am come a light into the world, that
whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.
The light that God brought us is His mercy. By the death of His
body (“son”) we no longer fear the darkness of death and judgment for our sins,
because we have been forgiven of our sins when we repented, were baptized in
Jesus name for the remission of our sins and have received the gift of His Holy
Ghost.
Acts 2:38 KJV - Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be
baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of
sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Acts 2:41 KJV - Then they that gladly received his word were
baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand
souls.
When we believe and are baptized, we are no longer in the
darkness of condemnation, but have stepped into the marvelous light of God’s
mercy.
Acts 26:18 KJV - To open their eyes, and to turn them from
darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive
forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith
that is in me.
1 Peter 2:9-10 KJV - But ye are a chosen generation, a royal
priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the
praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had
not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
