God, the Creator of the universe, took on flesh and blood in order to pay the price of our sins. Only by becoming a human being could He die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death. As God manifest in flesh, Jesus rose from the dead on the third day.
All of us who were in bondage by the fear of death are delivered by the death of Jesus.
We are set free when we turn from sin to Jesus, when we are baptized in the name of Jesus that washes away all of our sins by applying His blood to our life, and when we are filled with the resurrecting power of His Holy Ghost to walk in a new life.
"Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; and deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage." - Hebrews 2:14-15
"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call." - Acts 2:38-39
