Stand

The Bible tells us we are to stand.

"Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of ; and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;" - Ephesians 6:14-15

The member of our body that we stand with is our feet. The Bible tells us to have our feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace.

What is the gospel?

The gospel is the death burial and resurrection of Jesus. We stand in the gospel.

"Mreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;" - 1 Corinthians 15:1

"For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:" - 1 Corinthians 15:3-4

Why is it called the gospel of peace?

Because by His death, burial, and resurrection, Jesus made peace between Himself and man.

"And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself... " - Colossians 1:20

"To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them... " - 2 Corinthians 5:19

By the gospel, we are able to put on the whole armour of God.

"Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." - Ephesians 6:11-12

"Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand." - Ephesians 6:13

Why does Ithe Bible tell us to have our feet shod with the PREPARATION of the gospel of peace?

We have made preparation of the gospel on our feet, when we  have obeyed the gospel.

After the people heard the gospel on the Day of Pentecost, Peter told them how to obey the gospel.

"Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." - Acts 2:38
