The Battleground

The battleground is not with flesh and blood; it is spiritual. Our victory begins with how we respond with our minds. We are strong soldiers of God by our belief, faith, and trust in Jesus. As long as we maintain these, we will not be defeated.

We must clear our minds with forgiveness.

"And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge." - Acts 7:60

"Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." - Philippians 3:13-14

Keep our minds clear of worldly lusts, and stay focused on living for God.

"Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;" - 1 Peter 1:13

"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." - Romans 12:2

"For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ." - 1 Corinthians 2:16

"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." - Philippians 4:13

We must trust in Jesus and not worry.

"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."- Proverbs 3:5-6

"Be careful [anxious/worried] for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." - Philippians 4:6-7

"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." - 2 Timothy 1:7

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." - Romans 8:28

"If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit." - Galatians 5:25
