Our Savior
Our Heavenly Father is our Savior. His name is Jesus. He
saved His people from bondage out of Egypt.
"Yet I am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt, and
thou shalt know no god but me: for there is no saviour beside me." - Hosea
13:4 (Psalm 106:21).
He then saved humanity from the bondage of sin and death.
"Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh
and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death
he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; and
deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to
bondage." - Hebrews 2:14-15
“But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour
toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but
according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and
renewing of the Holy Ghost; which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ
our Saviour;” – Titus 3:4-6 (Acts 2:38).
"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given:
and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called
Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of
Peace." - Isaiah 9:6
"For unto you is born this day in the city of David a
Saviour, which is Christ the Lord." - Luke 2:11
“And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy
saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the
Christ, the Saviour of the world.” – John 4:42
There is only one God - there is only one Savior. God our Savior
was manifest in flesh in His name Jesus to save the world from sin and death by
His death, burial, and resurrection. (2Timothy 1:10).
Jesus is God’s name of salvation.
"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is
none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." -
Acts 4:12
There is only one way.
"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized
every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye
shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." - Acts 2:38
"For our conversation [citizenship] is in heaven; from
whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:" - Philippians
3:20
