Be careful for nothing

"Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God." - Philippians 4:6 KJV

Be careful for nothing…

When we stop trying to control everything, and instead turn to Jesus in prayer for everything, we are trusting in HIM to control everything.

"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding." - Proverbs 3:5 KJV

Add thanksgiving to the mix, and it brings us to the next verse:

"And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." - Philippians 4:7 KJV

When we step back, turning every situation over to Jesus and trusting Him to handle it, we find a peace that passes understanding. Instead of stress and anxiety, we step away from the situations and into God’s peace.

"And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful." - Colossians 3:15 KJV

Jesus has all wisdom and all knowledge. He is all powerful, present everywhere at once, all knowing, and eternal.

"Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us," - Ephesians 3:20 KJV

"Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen." - 1 Timothy 1:17 KJV

"To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen." - Jude 1:25 KJV
