I heard the preacher say, “There is the peace WITH God, and there is the peace OF God”.
The peace WITH God was accomplished when He shed His blood for our sins, making peace between us, after sin separated us. God reconciled us to Him by the gospel.
"And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
“And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:
“If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;" - Colossians 1:20-23 KJV
We have peace with God by the blood of His cross, and by our obedience to the gospel by repenting of our sins and being baptized in Jesus name for the remission of our sins. (Acts 2:38)
The peace OF God is found when we receive the gift of God’s Holy Ghost. (Acts 2:39)
"But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." - John 14:26-27 KJV
