The Gospel, with water and Spirit birth, is found in types and shadows from the beginning of creation. (i.e. Genesis 1:2).
Prophets prophesied of the gospel. (i.e. Isaiah 9:6-7, 53:1-12,
28:11-12, Daniel 2:35, 44).
Jesus preached the gospel of the kingdom. (i.e. Mark 1:14-15,
Matthew 9:35, Luke 9:6, Luke 20:1, Matthew 16:21, Matthew 16:24, Matthew
17:22-23, Matthew 20:19, Mark 9:31, Mark 10:34, Luke 9:22, Luke 18:33; Matthew
10:38, Mark 8:34, Mark 10:21, Luke 14:27).
He brought it to fruition by His death, burial, and
resurrection. (1 Corinthians 15:1-4).
It became fully tangible on the day of Pentecost. (Acts
2:4).
On the day of Pentecost, after the Holy Ghost was first poured
out, the gospel was preached. (Acts 2:23-24, 38).
"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized
every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye
shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to
your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God
shall call." - Acts 2:38-39 KJV
The preaching of the gospel and obedience to the gospel is
recorded throughout the book of Acts. (i.e. Acts 2:23-24, 38, 41; Acts 8:5, 12,
15-20; Acts 10:38-40, 43, 45-46, 48; Acts 16:30-32, 33-34).
Instruction is given of the gospel throughout the epistles. (i.e.
Romans 1:16, Romans 10:14-16, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, 2 Corinthians 4:3-4,
Galatians 1:6-9, Ephesians 1:13, 2 Thessalonians 1:8, 2 Timothy 1:10, 2 Timothy
2:8, 1 Peter 4:17).
Jesus commanded that the gospel be preached unto all the
world.
"And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and
preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be
saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned." - Mark 16:15-16 KJV
"And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in
all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end
come." - Matthew 24:14 KJV
