Isaiah prophesied of Jesus. He is The Mighty God and The Everlasting Father. He was born a son to dwell among His creation. Isaiah prophesied that Jesus’ kingdom (government) would be forever, upon the throne of David, just as He promised David. (2 Samuel 7:12-13).
"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given:
and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called
Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of
Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon
the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it
with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the
LORD of hosts will perform this." - Isaiah 9:6-7 KJV
Jesus established His kingdom with judgment and with justice
by His death, burial, and resurrection. (The gospel). With His passion for His
people, He took the judgment and justice for our sins upon His back and upon
His cross. By His purchasing us from sin and death by His blood, we are able to
be born again of water and of the Spirt and enter into His kingdom. (Acts
20:28, John 3:5).
As Peter preached on the Day of Pentecost, by the gospel we
can repent of our sins, be baptized in Jesus name for the remission of our
sins, and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost (speaking in tongues as the Spirit
gives us the utterance). (Acts 2:22-24, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, Acts 2:38, Acts
2:4).
"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized
every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye
shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
“For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to
all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call." -
Acts 2:38-39 KJV
