“Choose you this day whom you will serve.”

Will you serve Jesus, loving Him with all of your heart, soul, strength, and mind?

"Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin." - Romans 6:6 KJV

We choose to serve Jesus when we bury our sinful nature after repentance by being water baptized in Jesus name. Jesus gives us His power to keep from sin when He fills us with His Spirit. We need to walk in His Spirit daily to keep from serving sin. (Acts 2:38-39, Acts 1:8, Acts 2:4).

"This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh." - Galatians 5:16 KJV

This kind of choice is a lifetime choice. It is a choice that takes commitment. It is not a choice that we have to decide each day if we are going to keep our commitment or not, it is a commitment that we make for a lifetime. (Acts 2:38). We need to stay full of His Spirit to overcome sin. (1John 4:4, 1 John 5:4).

“You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil—the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God. All of us used to live that way, following the passionate desires and inclinations of our sinful nature. By our very nature we were subject to God’s anger, just like everyone else.” Ephesians 2:2-3

"Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others." - Ephesians 2:2-3 KJV

"But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)" - Ephesians 2:4-5 KJV

Everyone needs to make the choice, for our choice determines our future - in this life, and beyond this life. (John 12:26, Colossians 3:24, Ephesians 2:6-7, Matthew 6:24).

"And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:" - Ephesians 2:6 KJV

Choose you this day whom you will serve!
