The music we listen to can affect our spiritual walk with God.

We have covenanted with Jesus to love Him with our whole heart, soul, and mind. Music of the world can turn our thoughts from the things of God to the things of the world, shaping our values and attaching itself to our minds.

Music that builds us up spiritually can increase our faith and help keep our mind on the things of God.

Matthew 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Colossians 3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
