When situations and people around us start going contrary,
causing conflict, finding fault, creating irritation, jealousy, doubt,
disappointment and distrust, this is the time to get our eyes off of the storm
and back focused on Jesus.
It is through looking to Jesus and reaching out to Him that
we find peace in the midst of the storm. It is Jesus that keeps us from sinking
into the depths of turmoil and raises us up to walk the walk with Him. We need
to keep our focus on Jesus, and not on those around us. He is faithful, constant, true, and steady. Call on His name.
"But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary. ... And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?" - Matthew 14:24, 29-31 KJV
