What name is able to heal, save, and deliver? Who died for
our sins and rose from the dead bringing victory over death and hell? By what
name are we saved? JESUS! Why is that name so powerful? Because JESUS is GOD!
"Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with
you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the
Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? Believest thou not that I
am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak
not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works." -
John 14:9-10 KJV
"Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto
them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel, if we this day be examined
of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole; be
it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of
Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead,
even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which
was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under
heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." - Acts 4:8-12 KJV
When we believe on Jesus, that He is God that was made flesh
and dwelt among His creation, and we are baptized in Jesus name, our sins are
washed away. Jesus promises the gift of His Spirit, the Holy Ghost, so that we
may have life eternal, and life more abundantly.
"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized
every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye
shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to
your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God
shall call. And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save
yourselves from this untoward generation.
“Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and
the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. And they
continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking
of bread, and in prayers." - Acts 2:38-42 KJV
