The Kingdom

John the Baptist preached repentance, saying the kingdom is at hand. (Matthew 3:1)

Jesus preached the gospel of the kingdom, saying, the time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel. (Mark 1:14-15)

Jesus taught in parables of the kingdom; that it does not come with observation for it is within you; we are translated into the kingdom; of his kingdom there shall be no end. (Luke 17:20-21, Isaiah 9:7)

Jesus said we must be born of water and of the Spirit to enter the kingdom. (John 3:5)

We are to seek first his kingdom and his righteousness. Jesus sent his disciples to preach the kingdom of God and heal the sick. (Matthew 6:33, Luke 9:1)

When Jesus was about to ascend up to heaven, his disciples asked him if at that time he would restore again the kingdom to Israel. (Acts 1:6)

Jesus told them they would receive power, after that the Holy Ghost would come upon them and that they would be witnesses unto him. (Acts 1:8)

He had told them before that the kingdom of God would come with power. Ten days later, on the Day of Pentecost, the 120 followers of Jesus received the power of the Holy Ghost. They entered the kingdom on that day, because after being born of the water by baptism in Jesus name, they were now born of the Spirit by the baptism of the Holy Ghost! (John 3:22, John 4:1-2, Acts 2)

When the people in Samaria believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women, entering into the kingdom. (Acts 8:12)

Paul disputed and persuaded in the synagogue concerning the things of the kingdom of God. (Acts 19:8)

He went through Asia testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ, preaching the kingdom of God. (Acts 20:21)

When Paul was in bonds, Jewish leaders came to the house he was in to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening. (Acts 28:16-23)

And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him, preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him. (Acts 28:30-31)

The kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. The kingdom of God is not in word, but in power. (Romans 14:17, 1Corinthians 4:20)

They which do the works of the flesh shall not inherit the kingdom of God. But they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. (Galatians 5:19-25)

The unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God…but we are washed, but we are sanctified, but we are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. (1Corinthians 6:9-11)

For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. (Matthew 6:13)

Jesus gave Peter the keys to the kingdom. On the Day of Pentecost Peter preached how we enter the kingdom. (Matthew 16:19, Acts 2:38)

"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." - Acts 2:38 KJV

"For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call." - Acts 2:39 KJV
