"And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
“Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;
“In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return." - Genesis 3:17-19 KJV
Jesus, "the last Adam" died for the sin brought on by "first man Adam."
"But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive." - 1 Corinthians 15:20-22 KJV
"And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. ... The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven." - 1 Corinthians 15:45, 47 KJV
Jesus became cursed, just as the ground was cursed out of which Adam was formed.

"And unto Adam he said…cursed is the ground for thy sake…" - Genesis 3:17 KJV
Thorns came forth from the cursed ground, and Jesus was crowned with thorns.
“Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee…”- Genesis 3:18 KJV
"In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return." - Genesis 3:19 KJV
"Then came Jesus forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And Pilate saith unto them, Behold the man!" - John 19:5 KJV
Becoming cursed for us became His crown of glory.
"But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man." - Hebrews 2:9 KJV (Psa 8:5)
In the garden of Gethsemane He sweat as it were great drops of blood, praying for the life of the world and the strength to offer His flesh - the bread - that He would give for the life of the world.
"And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground." - Luke 22:44 KJV
"I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world." - John 6:51 KJV
"By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all." - Hebrews 10:10 KJV
"But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." - Romans 6:22-23 KJV
