The Godhead

The word “Godhead” means “divine power”, “deity”, and “divine nature”.

“Godhead” describes the SPIRIT of God.

The “Father” describes the SPIRIT of God.
The “Holy Ghost” describes the SPIRIT of God.

“Son” on the other hand, describes the FLESH of God.

Clearly, the "Son", which is the FLESH of God, should not be considered part of the Godhead.

The concept that the “Son” (the FLESH of God) is in the Godhead is a concept that is a tradition of man! RATHER, as the Bible states, the Godhead is IN the body (flesh) of Christ.

Colossians 2:8   Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
Colossians 2:9   For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

The SPIRIT of God is IN the SON.

John 14:7 ¶ If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
John 14:8   Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
John 14:9   Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou [then], Shew us the Father?

Jesus told His disciples that God would give them the Comforter, also called the Spirit of truth, which is the Holy Ghost.

The SPIRIT of God would be IN THEM.

John 14:16   And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
John 14:17   [Even] the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

When a person is born again of the water and Spirit, he BECOMES a SON of God. This person, as a son of God, is flesh with the Spirit of God dwelling in him. He is God’s body.

John 1:12   But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name:
John 1:13   Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

A person that has been born again of the water and Spirit becomes part of the body of Christ.

Romans 12:5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
