When we are baptized in Jesus name and filled with His Holy
Ghost we have put on Christ.
"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized
every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye
shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." - Acts 2:38 KJV
We identify with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection by
repentance, water baptism in Jesus name, and Spirit baptism by receiving the
gift of His Holy Ghost (speaking in tongues as His Spirit speaks through us).
We become a new creature in Jesus. We have crucified and
buried our old nature/old man of sin and have put on the new man, Christ Jesus.
His Holy Spirit is in us. We walk in His Spirit.
"For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ
have put on Christ." - Galatians 3:27 KJV
"Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into
Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by
baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the
glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life." -
Romans 6:3-4 KJV
"Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him,
that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve
sin." - Romans 6:6 KJV
"In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision
made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision
of Christ: buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him
through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the
dead." - Colossians 2:11-12 KJV
"But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not
provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof." - Romans 13:14 KJV
"And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh
with the affections and lusts." - Galatians 5:24 KJV
"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new
creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."
- 2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV
"And that ye put on the new man, which after God is
created in righteousness and true holiness." - Ephesians 4:24 KJV
"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which
are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit."
- Romans 8:1 KJV
"And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols?
for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in
them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my
people." - 2 Corinthians 6:16 KJV
"As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord,
so walk ye in him:" - Colossians 2:6 KJV
