If you are holding on to the “pleasures” of this life before
you give your all to Jesus, remember, this life on earth is like a vapour: it
is here for but a moment, then vanishes away.
"Whereas ye know
not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour,
that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away." - James 4:14
"By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to
be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter; choosing rather to suffer affliction
with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;
esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt:
for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward." - Hebrews 11:24-26
The Bible says, To day is the day of salvation, and, To day
if you will hear His voice harden not your hearts. God is shaking up this world
before His coming, if only we would look to Him!
"While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice,
harden not your hearts, as in the provocation." - Hebrews 3:15
"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a
man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of
the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit
reap life everlasting.
"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized
every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye
shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to
your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God
shall call." - Acts 2:38-39
“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we
shall reap, if we faint not." - Galatians 6:7-9
Forsake all for Jesus - stay prayed up. Life with Him – and
eternal life with Him - is worth it!
