Our time is a precious commodity of unknown quantity.
"Redeeming the time, because the days are evil." -
Ephesians 5:16 KJV
"Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming
the time." - Colossians 4:5 KJV
What does Strong’s lexicon say “redeeming” means?
2) to buy up, to buy up for one's self, for one's use
a) to make wise and sacred use of every opportunity for
doing good, so that zeal and well doing are as it were the purchase money by
which we make the time our own
If we use every moment of our day for God’s will, a witness
to everyone that the Lord brings across our path, and doing whatever the Lord
would have us to do, our time is redeemed giving it eternal value that cannot
be taken away.
"By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise
to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his
name." - Hebrews 13:15 KJV
"Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to
triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in
every place." - 2 Corinthians 2:14 KJV
