The name “JESUS” means the “LORD our salvation.” The first
two Hebrew letters of the LORD’s name, “YAH”, combined with the Hebrew word
“shua”, which means salvation, forms the name Jesus (Hebrew: Yeshua). It is by
the name “JESUS” that God came as our Savior to save the world from sin.

"And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call
his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Now all this was
done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet,

they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with
us." - Matthew 1:21-23 KJV
"For unto you is born this day in the city of David a
Saviour, which is Christ the Lord." - Luke 2:11 KJV

"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is
none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." -
Acts 4:12 KJV
"He was in the world, and the world was made by him,
and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God,
even to them that believe on his name: which were born, not of blood, nor of
the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God." - John 1:10-13
KJV (See: John 3:5, Acts 2:4)

shall call." - Acts 2:38-39 KJV

whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:" - Philippians
