What shall we DO to be saved?

We must repent (turn to Jesus and away from sin) AND be water baptized in the name of JESUS so that our sins are washed away by His blood.

If we do these two things JESUS promises He will fill us with His Spirit, the Holy Ghost. This promise is to us if we will allow JESUS to fill us with His Spirit.

Through praise and worship, we are completely filled with His Spirit when we have allowed JESUS to control our tongue, speaking through us in other “tongues” (languages) that we have not learned.

"And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance." - Acts 2:4

When the people heard the preaching of Peter, how that Jesus died in our place for our sins on the cross, was buried, but on the third day rose from the dead, alive forevermore, they were “pricked in their hearts”. The gospel message brought sharp pain to their heart and great sorrow.

"Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?"

"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."

"For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call." - Acts 2:37-39
