"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while
we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." - Romans 5:8
Our Heavenly Father loves us so much that He took on the
form of flesh to suffer and die in our place for our sins.
"To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world
unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto
us the word of reconciliation." - 2 Corinthians 5:19 KJV
What shall separate us from the love of Jesus?
"For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor
angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us
from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." - Romans 8:38-39
We know that Jesus loves us and nothing can separate us from
His love.
How do we show Jesus that we love Him?
"If ye love me, keep my commandments." - John
14:15
The Bible says we are to examine ourselves to see if we be
in the faith – to make sure our faith is genuine.
"Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove
your own selves…" - 2 Corinthians 13:5 KJV
Is there anything that we have allowed into our life that is
interfering with us fully loving Jesus?
We can cleanse ourselves by repentance, applying the blood
of Jesus from our baptism in Jesus name for the remission of our sins, and
overcome any sin by the power of His Holy Ghost.
"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized
every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye
shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to
your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God
shall call." - Acts 2:38-39 KJV
"But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost
is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in
all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." -
Acts 1:8 KJV
"And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and
began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance." -
Acts 2:4 KJV
We must be ready as His Bride, without sin and living a holy
life!
"And they continued stedfastly in the apostles'
doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers." - Acts
2:42 KJV
"Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious
appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ" - Titus 2:13
