When we are baptized in Jesus name and filled with His Holy Ghost we have put on Christ.
"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." - Acts 2:38 KJV
We identify with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection by repentance, water baptism in Jesus name, and Spirit baptism by receiving the gift of His Holy Ghost (speaking in tongues as His Spirit speaks through us).
We become a new creature in Jesus. We have crucified and buried our old nature/old man of sin and have put on the new man, Christ Jesus. His Holy Spirit is in us. We walk in His Spirit.
