There are preachers that claim to be preaching the gospel, but what they are preaching is not according to what the Bible says the gospel is.

This is what the Bible says about those that say they are preaching the gospel, but are telling people to be saved another way:

"I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ." - Galatians 1:6-7

"But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed." - Galatians 1:8-9

Peter preached the gospel on the Day of Pentecost (Acts 2). The gospel is how that Jesus died for our sins according to the scriptures, that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). Peter then preached what we must do to obey the gospel (Acts 2:38).

"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." - Acts 2:38

The gospel is the same today as it was back then. There is only one way to be saved - Acts 2:38!
