Jesus made us just (right with Him) by His blood when we are
baptized in Jesus name.
"Then Peter said
unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ
for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy
Ghost." - Acts 2:38
"Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we
shall be saved from wrath through him." - Romans 5:9
"To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world
unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto
us the word of reconciliation.
“Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did
beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
“For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin;
that we might be made the righteousness of God [made right with God] in
him." - 2 Corinthians 5:19-21
We were unrighteous, but Jesus makes us right with Him when
we repent, turn our back on sin, and are washed by baptism in His name Jesus.
(We are sanctified – made holy – when we receive His Spirit, the Holy Ghost).
"Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the
kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor
adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor
thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall
inherit the kingdom of God.
“And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are
sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the
Spirit of our God." - 1 Corinthians 6:9-11
